The Emerald Junction Summerfest Music Festival usually attracts up to 10 times the population of the Community of Emerald to our quaint village. Without the help of dozens of volunteers, the festival would not be possible. We truly appreciate the assistance we receive from the community and surrounding areas in making this annual event a success.

We usually start setting up the stage, setting up the bars, hooking up some lights and installing some fencing, and install the festival road signs.

Wednesday evening is when we do the finishing touches, cleaning, arranging, hanging signs, stage curtains, setting up the backstage area, finish the outside fencing, run the phone line and finish the lighting.

Throughout the day on Friday we get the bars ready to go, mark off the parking area and usually have some things to pick up for the festival.

The show begins! We try our best to follow a volunteer schedule during the actual festival to make it easier for volunteers to know when and where they are required. Please contact our volunteer coordinator if you can spare some time! We need ticket booth workers, table cleaners, backstage person, lottery tickets sales people and late night clean out people at the end of the festival etc...

Monday evening is when we start to get things back in order, its basically the reverse of what we do on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and includes cleaning and arranging the community centre as well.
